Alison Gingeras was curator for contemporary art at the Centre Georges Pompidou, Paris, from 1999 to 2004, where she has organized exhibitions of the work of Urs Fischer and Kristin Baker and co-curated the museum’s retrospective of the work of Daniel Buren in 2002. Co-organizer of the travelling group show Dear Painter, Paint ME… in 2002 and co-curated Monument to Now, an exhibition of the Dakis Jannou Collection on view at the Deste Foundation in Athens in 2004. She is author of the monograph on photographer Guy Bourdin (Phaidon, 2005). In 2012 she founded a small project space in New York's east village called Oko. Gingeras is adjunct curator at The Dallas Contemporary.
