José Arnaud-Bello
Mexico
(Mexico, 1976, lives in Mexico City), multidisciplinary artist. He trained as an architect at the Universidad Iberoamericana and at the Architectural Association in London. His work focuses on the process of formation between culture and material conditions: on how a way of understanding and interacting with the world results in a series of actions, objects and events that eventually transform it, and how that transformed world becomes a New culture generation platform. His practice makes use of research, documentation, reflection and speculation as tools to influence these processes and to build connections between different fields of knowledge. Also interested in the relationship between work and artistic discourse, his projects are recorded and presented through installations of photography, video, drawing, sculpture and text, creating collections of documents in which aesthetic experience and poetic construction seek to awaken epistemological reflections. His work has been exhibited at the Palace of Fine Arts, São Paulo Biennial, Montehermoso Cultural Center, Maison des Arts Georges Pompidou, Lake House, Palais de Tokyo, OMR Gallery, among others.
