Writer, art critic, journalist and curator. From 2001-2005 he directed the Instituto de Artes Gráficas de Oaxaca, where he organized and curated shows of Francisco de Goya, Rembrandt, Francisco Toledo, Gabriel Orozco, Dalí, Francisco Castro Leñero, Leopaldo Méndez, among others. ln 2006 he directed La Ceiba Gráfica, the Center for Artistic Residences and Graphic Production ¡n Jalapa, Veracruz. He has been curator at Ethra Gallery (DF) and Quetzalli gallery (Oaxaca). ln 1995 he directed Revista Mexicana de Cultura, a supplement for El Nacional, newspaper. He has collaborated with Letras Libres magazine, La Jornada, Milenio Diario, Excélsior, El Universal, Revista Casa del Tiempo, among many others. With articles on art critic, literature and politics, he has written in national and international exhibition catalogs. His publication la Patria, a retrospective on Demian Flores work, lead his publications. ln 1998 he was awarded with the Premio Nacional de Crítica de Arte Luis Cardozo y Aragón. He was part of the Centro Mexicano de Creadores and FONCA's Jóvenes Creadores. Last year he directed the sculptoric space La Telaraña and La Nave Central de La Calera. He has practiced activism around food, together with artists like Guillermo Olguín and Francisco Toledo, they managed to stop the opening of a fast-food chain restaurant at the main square in Oaxaca. He also has participated in a wide campaign and discussion on industrialized food, traditional agriculture, as well as food as a cultural axis.
